Sarah, Sarah, Sarah, when you spoke the words “awesome meatloaf pattie” I thought someone might have slapped you silly. Actually what had happened was my mind checked out after meatloaf and I totally missed the word patties. I was instantly transported to that dreaded childhood memory of meatloaf night. As a kid I don’t remember anyone liking meatloaf, even as an adult I still think hells no. But after your persistent meatloaf ramblings I finally heard the word patties or maybe you said burger which would surely ring the bell of attention. So you had me, and it actually sounded good. Come to find out it was disgustingly GOOD!
I had all the ingredients at home so this was an easy commit. The girls had been complaining lately that I was cooking a lot of dips and sides but nothing solid for dinner. I kept getting, “is this it?” So burgers it was! Actually I did have to stop by the store for the buns. The ones I found were soft like cotton candy as they melted around one of the juiciest burgers I’ve had in my life. For the bread crumbs I just used an old piece of bread that I crumbled up, not the kind you buy. I’m not sure if that made them extra juicy but these burgers were scrumptious. As for J and Z, they were a hit and will be putting these into the rotation. Thanks Sarah!
