


Add some protein to your waffle and cut calories by adding an egg! Using your favorite waffle mix, pour around outside edge of waffle iron leaving an open area in the center. Crack an egg into the center, close and flip. Cook as usual.
I’m not sure if you’re like me but, I love it when I’m eating breakfast and a little syrup makes it over to my eggs. Or there’s that little part of egg that cooks to the edge of some sloppily dipped french toast. This is sort of like that.
I was using Aunt Jemima (waffle mix) and ended up adding 3-1/2 grams of protein and cut out about 100 calories. Not too shabby.
