
A little background on our family. We are originally from Kansas/Missouri, Kansas City to be exact and WE LOVE BBQ! It’s one of the things we miss most (there are many) about KC. IT IS THE BEST, PERIOD. So on Friday I decided to give it a whirl. I never really BBQ’d myself back home, I left that to the pro’s. This really isn’t anything like that at all but it gave me a taste and scratched the itch so to speak. Some testing and experimenting is abound… sauces and slow cooking that is. J loved it and as did I, this will be on rotation for sure, with some recipe tinkering each time for sure. I think the first tinkering I’ll do is go by the full recipe below. You will see I eliminated a few ingredients because I either didn’t have them or the girls didn’t like them. Very good all around recipe though.
