This is the simplest frosting I’ve ever made and it got rave reviews from the household. I didn’t have the full 8 oz. of chocolate chips so I used butterscotch chips for the last 4 oz. Next time we’ll go all chocolate but either way it was yum. Took about 10 minutes to make and most of that was just waiting for the water to boil. Went perfectly on this chocolate cake.
Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting
- 8 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. powdered sugar
Rest a small metal bowl on top of a small pot of boiling water (don’t allow the water to touch the bottom of the bowl) and melt the chocolate chips. When melted remove from heat and add sour cream and sugar. That’s it!
